Transient protection window for an 85.5V rail
The 1.5SMC100A: The 85.5V reverse standoff voltage means it sits across a nominal 85.5V DC rail without conducting in normal operation. Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 95V, and the clamping voltage is held to 137V maximum at the 11.1A peak pulse current — the protection window is tight enough to keep downstream silicon within its avalanche rating.
DO-214AB SMC — standard TVS footprint
Housed in the DO-214AB (SMC) package, also referred to as SMCJ by some suppliers. The surface-mount body is rated for the full 1500W pulse without requiring a heatsink — the copper pad area on the PCB carries the thermal energy.
Sourcing and tape format options
No power line protection rating means this part is intended for DC rail or signal-line clamping, not AC mains primary protection.
