Active production, 1500 W surge rating
The 1.5KE350A: Clamping at 482 V max under the 10/1000 µs pulse shape, it holds the protected line below the downstream device's breakdown threshold when a surge hits.
300 V standoff, 332 V breakdown — the protection window
With a 300 V reverse standoff, the diode stays transparent on a nominal 300 VDC bus; leakage is negligible until the transient exceeds 332 V minimum breakdown. Rated for 3.2 A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs), the 1.5KE350A handles moderate-energy surges from inductive load switching or lightning-induced transients on outdoor telecom and industrial power feeds. The unidirectional channel (single diode) clamps only one polarity — use it on a positive DC rail with the cathode to the protected line; a bidirectional part is needed for AC or unknown-polarity lines.
DO-201 axial, -55 to 175 °C range
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, the 1.5KE350A suits through-hole board designs where hand-solder or wave-solder assembly is the norm; the body stands off the board for convective cooling. The 1.5KE series is marked as general-purpose — no AEC-Q automotive qualification is claimed, so it fits industrial and commercial applications rather than under-hood automotive.
