Active production — no end-of-life watch needed
Littelfuse lists the 1.5KE110CA as Active on its product status — no NRND flag, no last-time-buy clock running.
1500 W peak pulse — what the rating means for the rail
The 94 V reverse standoff voltage means it sits across a 94 V DC rail without conducting leakage current; the 105 V minimum breakdown voltage is where avalanche starts. A 48 V or 72 V telecom bus, or a 90 V nominal DC link, stays below the standoff and the TVS stays dark until a transient pushes the rail above 105 V.
Bidirectional — one device covers both polarities
Single bidirectional channel — the 1.5KE110CA clamps positive and negative transients symmetrically. On an AC signal line or a floating DC bus where the return can swing negative, one part replaces two unidirectional TVS diodes back-to-back. The DO-201AA axial leaded package (DO-27 equivalent) inserts into a through-hole board with standard 0.100-inch lead spacing.
Operating junction temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C — the full industrial temperature band plus margin. In an outdoor telecom cabinet that sees 85°C internal ambient, the junction stays well within the derating curve. The through-hole axial body conducts heat into the PCB traces; a 1-ounce copper pad on each lead pulls heat out of the die during repetitive surge events.
