MachXO family — 2280 LEs in a 100-pin TQFP
The Lattice LCMXO2280C-3TN100C is a MachXO-series FPGA with 2280 logic elements and 73 user I/O, packaged in a 100-lead TQFP (14x14 mm footprint). On-chip block RAM totals 28,262 bits — enough for small FIFOs, look-up tables, or configuration shadow registers without external memory. The 285 LABs/CLBs give the fabric enough granularity for glue logic, state machines, or a soft-core microcontroller instantiation.
Commercial temperature range (0°C to 85°C junction) suits indoor equipment, networking gear, and industrial control cabinets that stay above freezing.
ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the EU restriction on hazardous substances for new product introductions.
I/O count vs the 144-pin sibling
The LCMXO2280C-3TN100C provides 73 I/O, while the LCMXO2280C-4TN144C — same logic density and RAM — offers 113 I/O in a 144-pin TQFP. The 100-pin package saves board area but limits the number of external connections; if your design needs more than 73 signals, step up to the 144-pin variant.
