256 logic elements in a 5x5 mm QFN — board-fit and integration
The LCMXO2-256HC-6SG32I is a Lattice MachXO2 FPGA packing 256 logic elements and 21 user I/O into a 32-UFQFN exposed-pad package measuring 5x5 mm (32-QFN).
Supply rails and I/O — what the 2.375V to 3.465V range means
The core and I/O banks run from a single 2.375V to 3.465V supply — no separate core rail needed. The 21 I/O are banked and can be configured to LVCMOS, LVTTL, or PCI standards within that voltage window. The 6-speed grade (-6) is the fastest in the HC family, giving a 90 MHz system performance ceiling for combinatorial paths through the 32 LABs/CLBs.
Active lifecycle — still a current-production BOM line
For inventory planning, this part is still a standard catalog item — no need to stock a last-time-buy yet, but the 32-QFN package is moisture-sensitive and should be stored per J-STD-020 in a dry cabinet after the tray seal is broken.
Cross-reference check — LCMXO2-256HC-4SG32I and LCMXO2-256ZE-1SG32I
The LCMXO2-256HC-4SG32I is the same die in the same 32-QFN package but with a -4 speed grade — about 20% slower than the -6. It drops into the same PCB footprint and supply rails. The LCMXO2-256ZE-1SG32I is the low-power variant: 1.14V to 1.26V core supply, same 256 LEs and 21 I/O, but the -1 speed grade is the slowest in the ZE family. A board designed for the HC supply voltage cannot run the ZE without a regulator change.
