Logic density and I/O in a 100-TQFP
The LCMXO2-1200ZE-1TG100I packs 1280 logic cells (160 LABs/CLBs) and 64 Kbit of embedded block RAM into a 100-TQFP package with a 14x14 mm footprint. That logic density, for a 1.2K LUT-class device, is enough to absorb a moderate glue-logic consolidation or a small state-machine engine without spilling into a larger package. The 79 user I/O are accessible on the 100-pin TQFP — the remaining pins are dedicated to power, ground, configuration, and PLL supplies. For a board that needs 60-70 signals plus a few spare, this package hits the sweet spot between I/O count and board area.
Core supply and temperature range
This is the ZE (zero-power) variant, running on a 1.14V to 1.26V core supply — the tight 1.2V nominal rail. The low core voltage keeps dynamic power down, but it also means the board's 1.2V regulator needs to stay within 5% of 1.2V across load; a standard 1.2V ±3% LDO is fine, but a switching regulator with 50 mV ripple may push the core out of spec at the low end. Junction temp at 100°C means the device can sit in a sealed enclosure next to a warm regulator or a processor without needing forced air, as long as the ambient stays below 85°C or so.
