Logic budget and timing closure
The LC4032V-75TN48I packs 32 macrocells and 32 I/O in a 48-TQFP package — the macrocell count and pin count match, so every I/O can be registered without starving the core logic. The 7.5 ns tpd(1) max propagation delay is the combinatorial path ceiling; for a 3.3 V CPLD this means glue logic between a 100 MHz bus and a slower peripheral closes timing with margin, provided the board trace delay stays under 1 ns.
Board integration and footprint
The 48-TQFP (7x7 mm) body with 0.5 mm pitch requires a 4-layer board for clean fan-out of the 32 I/O — the inner layers handle the VCC and GND planes, while the outer layers route the signal traces. The exposed pad on the bottom is not present; thermal management relies on the 48 leads conducting heat to the board copper. In-system programmable via JTAG — the TDI, TDO, TMS, and TCK pins are dedicated; no external programming voltage is needed. The 3.3V VCCIO rail powers the JTAG interface, so the programmer cable must match the logic level.
