The TPSY336M016R0400: No special stencil or hot-air profile needed; a standard soldering iron and tweezers are enough for field replacement if you have a steady hand and a clean tip. The molded case is polarity-marked with a stripe on the positive end, and the ±20% tolerance is the industry standard for tantalum bulk caps — acceptable for decoupling where the exact value is less critical than having enough capacitance at the operating voltage.
Temperature range and deployment
The TPS series is a general-purpose line, not a low-ESR or high-reliability military grade, but the temperature range alone qualifies it for engine bay or outdoor telecom gear where the ambient sees 105°C.
