The TPSY157M010R0100: The 100 mOhm ESR sets the ripple-current handling and the self-heating under AC load — a lower ESR than commodity tantalum parts, which reduces temperature rise in high-frequency switching applications. The operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C covers the full industrial and military temperature envelope.
The surface-mount molded package is compatible with standard reflow soldering profiles and does not require a moisture-sensitive level (MSL) bake for typical floor-life exposure, though the specific MSL rating should be confirmed from the lot date code. The molded construction provides mechanical robustness against board flexure and vibration, a consideration for high-reliability assemblies where conformal coating or potting is applied post-solder.
