Capacitance and ESR — the bulk decoupling fit
The TPSV158M004R0075 is a 1500 µF molded tantalum capacitor in the TPS series from KYOCERA AVX, rated at 4 V with a 75 mOhm ESR. That ESR figure is the one that matters for ripple handling: at 1500 µF, 75 mOhm keeps the self-heating under control in a power rail filter or bulk decoupling role where the capacitor sees AC ripple current.
Tolerance and packaging
±20% tolerance is standard for tantalum electrolytics at this capacitance level — the actual capacitance at the rated 4 V bias will sit near the high end of the band. Supplied on tape and reel, which is the expected format for automated pick-and-place into a 2924 footprint.
