10 µF, 6.3 V, 3 Ohm ESR — the rework bench view
The TPSR106M006R3000: The 0805 case (2.05 mm x 1.30 mm, seated height 1.20 mm) is a standard two-terminal chip — no polarity marking ambiguity on the top, but the anode band is usually at the positive end on the body. Under the hot-air station, the molded epoxy body handles 260 °C peak reflow without cracking if the moisture sensitivity level is observed; tantalum capacitors absorb moisture and can pop during rework if not pre-baked. The ESR of 3 Ohm is relatively high for a 10 µF tantalum at this voltage, meaning the ripple current handling is modest — the self-heating under AC ripple will be noticeable at higher frequencies.
