The KYOCERA AVX TPSE477M006R0050 is a TPS series molded tantalum capacitor delivering 470 µF at 6.3 V rated voltage with a 50 mOhm ESR. The ±20% tolerance is the standard tantalum tolerance band; for bulk decoupling the capacitance spread is acceptable as long as the minimum capacitance at the DC bias voltage still meets the regulator's stability requirement.

The molded construction gives the capacitor mechanical rigidity and protects the element during reflow and handling — no conformal-coating issues on the side seam.
