The TPSE477K006R0060: The 60 mOhm ESR is the figure that governs ripple current handling and self-heating. At the switching frequencies of a typical buck converter (300 kHz to 2 MHz), the ESR dominates the impedance, so the ripple voltage across the capacitor is ESR × ripple current. A 60 mOhm ESR keeps the ripple voltage under 60 mV per amp of ripple current — within tolerance for most POL regulators.

The TPS series is a standard molded tantalum line, not a specialty or automotive-grade family. No AEC-Q200 qualification is listed, so this part is suited for general-purpose industrial, telecom, and consumer applications rather than under-hood or mission-critical automotive ECUs where the AEC-Q200 stress profile is required.
Temperature range and board-fit
This is a standard large-case tantalum footprint shared across multiple manufacturers (AVX, Kemet, Vishay), so the PCB land pattern is interchangeable. The E case code tells you the case height is the standard 4.3 mm, not the low-profile D case.
