47 µF at 25 V — the fit decision
The TPSE476M025R0080: The 80 mOhm ESR keeps ripple current handling solid for bulk decoupling on a power rail; a lower ESR means less self-heating and better transient response compared to a standard tantalum.
Molded case, 2917 footprint — board-fit
Molded construction in the standard 2917 (7343 Metric) case with manufacturer size code E. The molded case is the typical tantalum form factor — it sits flat on the board, the polarity marking is clear, and it reflows without special handling. Surface-mount, so it goes through the same pick-and-place as the rest of the BOM.
Temperature range and environment
No special storage requirements beyond standard ESD precautions; the molded case is not moisture-sensitive the way some electrolytics are.
