Molded tantalum at 35 V with 400 mOhm ESR
The TPSD226K035H0400 is a 22 µF, 35 V molded tantalum capacitor from KYOCERA AVX's TPS series, with ±10% tolerance and a 400 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz. The 400 mOhm ESR is the practical limit for AC ripple current handling — at 35 V and 22 µF, it keeps self-heating manageable in a bulk decoupling or output filter role on a power rail that sees ripple at the switching frequency.
The molded construction with epoxy encapsulation gives better moisture resistance than dipped tantalum, which matters when conformal coating is part of the assembly process.
