What the ESR rating means for your filter design
In a switching-regulator output filter, a lower ESR reduces output ripple but increases the inrush current on power-up; this part's ESR sits in the middle of the TPS family range, suitable for general-purpose bulk decoupling and DC-DC smoothing where the ripple current stays under 1.5 A RMS.
