15 µF 25 V tantalum — 100 mOhm ESR, D case, active production
The molded case in the 2917 footprint (D size code) keeps the profile to 3.10 mm seated height, fitting standard pick-and-place assembly on a 1.6 mm PCB.

What the 100 mOhm ESR means for your rail
The ESR also sets the output ripple amplitude: on a 500 kHz buck converter, 100 mOhm yields ~50 mV ripple with 1 A ripple current, which many loads can tolerate without an additional low-ESR ceramic. Budget the full spread when sizing the hold-up time or the crossover frequency of the feedback loop.
