The 125 mOhm ESR is a mid-range value for a 100 µF tantalum in the D case size; it will handle a few hundred mA of ripple current without excessive self-heating, but a polymer tantalum with sub-50 mOhm ESR would be a better fit for a high-frequency switching regulator output.
At 125°C the voltage derating curve in the TPS series datasheet applies — the 10 V rated part should be operated at 50% to 67% of rated voltage (5 V to 6.7 V) for reliable life in high-temperature applications.
The TPS series is a mature molded tantalum platform with broad second-source availability from Kemet and Vishay in the same 2917 (7343 Metric) footprint and D case size.
