100 µF, 20 V, 150 mOhm ESR — the bulk decoupling decision
The 150 mOhm ESR is the key number for ripple current handling — lower ESR means less self-heating for the same AC ripple, so the capacitor runs cooler and the lifetime extends.
This is the full military temperature band, which means the capacitor is qualified for the extremes: avionics electronics that see -55°C at altitude, downhole instrumentation that runs at 125°C near the drill bit, satellite power buses that cycle between full sun and eclipse. The molded case and the 2917 (7343 Metric) surface-mount package keep the part sealed against moisture and vibration in those environments.
