22 µF, 20 V, 100 mOhm ESR — TPS molded tantalum
The TPSC226K020R0100: This is a KYOCERA AVX TPS series molded tantalum capacitor, 22 µF ±10% capacitance, rated at 20 V DC, with a 100 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz. The 2312 (6032 Metric) case measures 6.00 mm x 3.20 mm, seated height 2.80 mm max, and uses the C manufacturer size code. The 100 mOhm ESR is the standout spec here — it keeps ripple heating low in output filtering for a 5 V or 12 V rail, and the 20 V rating gives headroom above a 12 V bus without needing a higher-voltage (and larger) part.
The molded case and surface-mount 2312 package reflow without special handling. The ±10% tolerance suits decoupling and bulk storage roles.
