100 µF molded tantalum for decoupling and filtering
The 150 mOhm ESR keeps ripple heating manageable in a 2312 (6032 Metric) case — a common choice for bulk decoupling on 3.3 V or 5 V rails where the voltage derating leaves margin at 10 V.
The 2312 surface-mount case (6.00 mm x 3.20 mm footprint, 2.80 mm seated height) fits a standard reflow profile; the molded body resists moisture ingress better than uncoated chips.
The TPS series is a long-running KYOCERA AVX line, so second-source equivalents exist from other tantalum manufacturers in the same 2312 case and 100 µF / 10 V rating.
