100 mOhm ESR and bulk capacitance for rail filtering
For a 5 V rail with 100 mV ripple, the ESR limits the RMS ripple current to roughly 1 A before the internal temperature rise cuts into the 125°C ceiling. 100 µF at 10 V provides roughly 6 µF of effective capacitance after derating for DC bias and temperature — enough bulk storage for a 3.3 V rail feeding a small FPGA core or a multi-rail DC-DC output stage.
The molded case and 2312 footprint keep the part compatible with standard reflow profiles.
