Molded tantalum, 10 µF at 25 V — bulk decoupling in a 2312 footprint
The TPSC106K025R0500: This is a 10 µF ±10% molded tantalum capacitor rated at 25 V, packaged in a 2312 (6032 Metric) case with a 500 mOhm ESR. The TPS series is a general-purpose line, and the molded construction gives a consistent outline for pick-and-place. For a 25 V rail with a 100 mV ripple target, the 500 mOhm ESR limits the ripple current to about 200 mA RMS before the internal temperature rise becomes significant.
The capacitance tolerance stays within ±10% across the band, though the ESR will rise at low temperature — expect roughly double the 500 mOhm at -55°C. For a decoupling application where the impedance peak matters at cold start, that shift needs to be in the margin.
