Capacitance, voltage, and ESR — the BOM-fit numbers
The TPSB685K020R1000: 6.8 µF capacitance at 20 V rated voltage with ±10% tolerance — this is the primary selection gate for the rail or decoupling position it fills. 1 Ohm ESR (equivalent series resistance) sets the ripple current capability and self-heating under AC load; a lower ESR means less power dissipated as heat in the capacitor body.

1411 (3528 Metric) case size, size code B, with surface-mount termination — the 0.138" x 0.110" footprint and 0.083" seated height fit standard reflow profiles and do not require via-in-pad or special fan-out.
