Capacitance and voltage for the rail
The TPSB476M006R0350: This is a 47 µF capacitor rated at 6.3 V — the standard bulk cap for a 3.3 V or 5 V rail that needs a margin for ripple and transients. The ±20 % tolerance means the actual capacitance at the rail sits between 37.6 µF and 56.4 µF; budget the low end when sizing for a regulator's minimum output capacitance requirement.
ESR and ripple current
The 350 mOhm ESR is typical for a B-case tantalum at this capacitance. That is well within the package's thermal budget at room temperature, but at 125 °C the derating curve in the datasheet should be checked to keep the core temperature below the 125 °C limit.
The molded package handles the thermal cycling without the cracking risk of a conformal-coated chip.
