The 1 Ohm ESR is the series resistance that limits ripple current and self-heating. For a 100 kHz buck converter output, the ripple current through this capacitor is set by the ESR, not the capacitance — the 1 Ohm value means the capacitor runs cooler than a lower-ESR part would in the same spot, but the voltage ripple will be proportionally higher. Match it to the ripple budget of the downstream load.

The 1411 (3528 Metric) / 1210 case measures 3.50 mm x 2.80 mm with a seated height of 2.10 mm, size code B.
