Molded tantalum with 500 mOhm ESR
The TPSB156M016R0500 is a KYOCERA AVX TPS series molded tantalum capacitor rated at 15 µF with ±20% tolerance and 16 V DC. The 500 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz is the key spec for estimating ripple current capability and output filtering impedance in a DC-DC converter or power rail decoupling application. The molded case construction provides mechanical stability and moisture resistance over this range.
The 1411 (3528 Metric) case size is a standard footprint shared across the TPS series, so alternate capacitance values or voltage ratings in the same package can be swapped without a board layout change.
