10 µF at 20 V — molded tantalum for tight boards
The TPSB106K020R0500 is a molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TPS series, rated 10 µF at 20 V with ±10% tolerance — the first check for any BOM line calling for a 10 µF, 20 V tantalum in a 1411 case. The 500 mOhm ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) sets the ripple current capability and the self-heating under AC load — a lower ESR means less voltage ripple on a switching regulator output, but the 500 mOhm figure is typical for a B-size tantalum in this voltage/density class.
