In an avionics power supply that sees -40°C cold-soak and +105°C internal ambient, the part stays within its rated envelope with margin. The molded construction provides mechanical stability under thermal cycling and vibration typical of airborne or downhole environments.
The ESR is 25 mOhm. For a 4 V rail supplying 3 A, the I²R loss in the capacitor is under 0.23 W — low enough that the part does not self-heat significantly. The low ESR also keeps the voltage ripple small when the cap handles high-frequency switching current from a buck converter.
