Bulk decoupling on a low-voltage rail
The TAJY477M006RNJ: 470 µF at 6.3 V rated with 200 mOhm ESR – this is the bulk cap for a 3.3 V or 1.8 V supply rail where the ripple current from a downstream switching regulator needs a low-impedance sink. The 200 mOhm ESR keeps the self-heating under control at ripple currents typical of a 1–2 A load. At 125°C the voltage derating follows the standard 50% rule for MnO2 tantalums – the 6.3 V rating at 25°C drops to ~3.15 V at the high end.
2917 (7343 Metric) case, size code Y – 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm footprint, seated height 2.00 mm max. The 0.50 mm pitch between the anode and cathode pads is standard for this case size; the PCB land pattern follows the JEDEC MO-7343-1 recommendation.
