Automotive-grade tantalum for under-hood and powertrain
AEC-Q200 and the 125°C ceiling
This is the reliability baseline for any capacitor going into a safety- or mission-critical automotive module — the same part without the Q suffix would not be accepted in a PPAP submission. The 125°C maximum operating temperature covers the under-hood ambient, but tantalum capacitors must be derated: running at 50% of rated voltage at 125°C is standard practice to keep the failure rate below 1 FIT. At 10 V rated, that means a 5 V rail is safe; a 3.3 V rail has generous margin.
The Y case code corresponds to the 2917 footprint dimensions: 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm x 2.20 mm seated height.
