Molded tantalum for wide-temperature filtering
The TAJT226M006RNJ is a molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, rated 22 µF at 6.3 V with ±20% tolerance. Its 2.5 Ohm ESR sets the ripple current ceiling and self-heating — for a 100 kHz buck output, the ripple voltage across this cap is 2.5 Ohm times the ripple current, so the output ripple budget must account for that drop.
At 125°C the voltage derating curve applies — for a 6.3 V part, the recommended applied voltage at 125°C is typically 50% of rated, so budget 3.15 V max in a hot avionics or downhole assembly.
