The TAJT106K016YNJ is a 10 µF, 16 V molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series, in a 1411 (3528 Metric) / 1210 case with ±10 % tolerance. The 2.2 Ohm ESR sets the ripple current ceiling — for a 100 kHz buck output, the self-heating stays under 2 °C at 200 mA RMS, but above 300 mA RMS the internal temperature rise starts eating into the 125 °C rating.
