Molded tantalum — what the TAJ series delivers
The molded case provides consistent dimensional control and mechanical protection during reflow and handling. Rated 1 µF at 20 V with ±10% tolerance, it covers general-purpose decoupling and filtering roles where the 12 Ohm ESR sets the ripple current ceiling — at 100 kHz the AC loss through the ESR limits the ripple current to roughly 1.3 A RMS before self-heating becomes a concern.
The molded construction and tantalum dielectric maintain capacitance stability across the band, though ESR rises at low temperature.
