On a 5 V rail the margin is even wider, but this part is not suitable for 24 V systems — the applied voltage must stay below 14 V for reliable DC bias. 25 Ohm ESR is on the high side for a 0.1 µF tantalum — ripple current capability is limited. In a switching-regulator output filter, the self-heating from AC ripple must be checked against the datasheet's power dissipation curve; for DC decoupling the ESR is not a concern.
The 1206 (3216 Metric) case is a standard footprint — no special pad geometry or via-in-pad required.
