6.8 µF bulk decoupling for 2.5 V rails
TAJR685K002RNJ is a molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, delivering 6.8 µF ±10% capacitance in an 0805 surface-mount case. The 2.5 V rated voltage fits 1.8 V and 2.5 V supply rails but leaves no headroom for a 3.3 V bus — a common mis-pick when the BOM calls for a generic 6.8 µF cap. The 20 Ohm ESR is on the high side for a tantalum of this value; in a switching-regulator output filter the ripple current heats the part, so derate the ripple current per the datasheet curve rather than relying on the ESR alone.
The molded case and 0805 footprint keep the board profile low; seated height is 1.20 mm max, which fits under a heatsink or in a mezzanine gap.
