The TAJR684M025RNJ is a molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, rated 0.68 µF at 25 V with ±20% tolerance. The 0805 case (2.05 mm × 1.30 mm footprint, 1.20 mm seated height) fits tight board layouts where a ceramic cap's DC bias derating would eat the margin. The 13 Ohm ESR is the headline parameter for this part — it limits ripple current handling and sets the self-heating under AC load. For a decoupling or timing application with low ripple, the ESR is acceptable; for a high-ripple supply rail, the power dissipation at 13 Ohm may exceed the 0805 package's thermal budget.
