Molded tantalum cap for tight spots
The TAJR154K025RNJ: This is a KYOCERA AVX TAJ series molded tantalum capacitor, 0.15 µF at 25 V with ±10% tolerance, in an 0805 (2012 Metric) package. The molded case gives it consistent dimensions and good mechanical stability for automated assembly or hand rework.
ESR and what it means on your board
The 24 Ohm ESR is on the higher side — typical for this generation of tantalum caps. For a low-ripple PSU output or a DC/DC input bypass, that ESR limits ripple current handling and adds a few milliohms of impedance at switching frequencies. Fine for general decoupling or timing circuits where the ripple budget is generous.
Active production — no rush, but plan ahead
No last-time-buy window looming — you can design it into new builds or order it for ongoing production without urgency.
