TAJR104K035RNJ is an active-production molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series, rated 0.1 µF at 35 V with ±10% tolerance.
ESR and temperature grade for derating
The 29 Ohm ESR at 25 °C sets the ripple-current ceiling — at elevated temperatures the ESR rises, so for 125 °C operation derate the ripple current per the TAJ series curve.
0805 footprint and rework
0805 (2012 Metric) body, 2.05 mm x 1.30 mm, 1.20 mm seated height — the small footprint means the pad layout is forgiving for hand rework with a hot-air station; the molded body resists cracking from thermal shock if preheated to 100 °C before reflow.
