The TAJP336M002RNJ is a surface-mount molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, rated 33 µF at 2.5 V with ±20% tolerance. The 0805 case (2.05 mm × 1.35 mm footprint, 1.50 mm seated height) packs the capacitance into a board-space-constrained layout — common on portable or multi-layer PCBs where every square millimeter counts.
The 3.5 Ohm ESR at 25°C sets the self-heating floor under ripple current. In a 33 µF part, this ESR dominates the impedance at switching frequencies above a few hundred kHz — the capacitor behaves more like a resistor than a pure capacitance at the ripple frequency.
