At 22 µF and 2.5 V rated, this molded tantalum fits low-voltage decoupling or bulk-storage roles on 1.8 V or 2.5 V rails. The 3.5 Ohm ESR is the number that decides whether it works: for a 100 mA load step, the ESR drop is 350 mV, which may be too high for a tight-core supply rail. Check the ripple budget before committing the BOM line. The 0805 case (2.05 mm x 1.35 mm, 1.50 mm seated height) keeps the footprint small, but the ESR is higher than a larger-case tantalum or a ceramic alternative would offer at the same capacitance.
