900 mOhm ESR and the ripple current ceiling
The 900 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz sets the ripple current capability at roughly 0.5 A RMS at 85°C ambient — enough for output filtering on a linear regulator or a low-power DC-DC converter, but marginal for a high-ripple switching supply. For a 12 V rail decoupling a 100 mA load transient, the voltage droop from the ESR is under 90 mV, which is acceptable for most logic and analog rails.
