680 µF bulk decoupling for a 6.3 V rail
The 500 mOhm ESR limits ripple current handling; for a 5 V rail switching at 500 kHz with 100 mA ripple, the self-heating stays under 5 °C, well within the 125 °C ceiling.
The molded construction and D case — 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm x 3.10 mm — fit the 2917 footprint common on power-stage output filters. Surface-mount assembly with a standard reflow profile; no special bake required for MSL 3-rated tantalums.
Active production — order-to-order sourcing
The ±10 % tolerance is standard for tantalum; if your design needs tighter tolerance, the TAJ series also offers ±20 % variants. No direct pin-compatible equivalent from another manufacturer is documented — the D case footprint is JEDEC-standard, so functional equivalents from Kemet or Vishay exist but require cross-referencing datasheet ESR and surge ratings.
