Bulk capacitance for tight boards
The TAJD477K006RNJV is a 470 µF molded tantalum capacitor in the 2917 D-case (7.30 x 4.30 mm footprint, 3.10 mm seated height). Rated at 6.3 V with ±10% tolerance, it fits bulk decoupling or energy-storage roles where board space is constrained and the rail stays below 6.3 V.
Temperature range and lifetime
Lifetime is specified at 2000 hours at 125°C with rated voltage applied. In practice, operating at lower temperatures or derated voltage extends life significantly; the 2000-hour figure is the endurance floor at the max rating.
The D-case (2917) is a standard tantalum footprint shared across multiple AVX TAJ series ratings, so board layout re-use across different capacitance-voltage combinations is straightforward.
