What this TAJ tantalum does on the board
In a 3.3 V or 5 V rail, the 10 V rating provides a 2× derating margin – standard practice for tantalum reliability in power-supply decoupling. The 2917 (7343 Metric) D-case measures 7.30×4.30 mm with a seated height of 3.10 mm, matching the common footprint for this capacitance-voltage combination. No layout change needed if your board already uses a 2917 tantalum.
Temperature grade – military spec range
That means it holds capacitance and ESR over the avionics cold-soak and the engine-bay hot soak – a standard tantalum with a 105 °C ceiling would drift or fail in those cycles.
