D case 2917 — footprint and layout
The D case size (7.30 mm × 4.30 mm, 3.10 mm seated height) uses the standard 2917 (7343 Metric) footprint. The molded body has a polarity mark — the anode is the chamfered end. The ESR is specified at 100 kHz; a 1 Ω ESR means the capacitor dissipates about 0.25 W at its rated ripple current, so keep a 5 mm clearance around the part on a two-layer board to avoid local hot spots.
