15 µF, 35 V molded tantalum – TAJ series
The TAJD156K035RNJ is a 15 µF, 35 V molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series, in a 2917 (7343 Metric) surface-mount package. It carries a ±10% tolerance and a 900 mOhm ESR, making it suitable for bulk decoupling on power rails and general-purpose filtering where the voltage rating provides margin for 24 V or 28 V buses.
900 mOhm ESR – ripple current and thermal budget
With a 900 mOhm ESR at 25°C, this capacitor's self-heating under ripple current is a design consideration: the I²R loss at the rated ripple current must stay within the part's power dissipation limit.
The capacitance change over temperature for tantalum is typically ±10% from the 25°C value, so the 15 µF nominal holds within tolerance across the range.
