Rated 1.5 µF at 50 V with ±20% tolerance and a 4 Ohm ESR. The 4 Ohm ESR is the ceiling for ripple current handling — at 50 V the self-heating from ripple current stays within the part's dissipation limit only if the RMS current is kept below the datasheet's ripple-current derating curve. For a 12 V rail decoupling a 100 kHz switcher, the ESR dominates the impedance at resonance; a lower-ESR part would shift the self-resonant frequency higher.
This qualifies the part for avionics black-box data recorders, satellite power-bus filters, and downhole instrumentation where the ambient cycles from cold-soak to internal self-heat. The molded case (Type Molded) provides mechanical stability across the range — no conformal-coat compatibility issue with the epoxy body.
