Molded tantalum for bulk capacitance in constrained boards
The TAJD106M050SNJ is a molded tantalum capacitor from the TAJ series, delivering 10 µF at 50 V in a 2917 (7343 Metric) surface-mount package — a standard footprint for bulk decoupling and hold-up capacitance on power rails up to 48 V. With an 800 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz, this part handles moderate ripple current but is better suited to low-frequency bypass and energy storage than high-frequency switching-regulator output filters, where lower-ESR polymer or MLCC alternatives are preferred. The 2000-hour endurance at 125°C sets the thermal budget: in a 105°C ambient, the capacitor's life extends well beyond the rated hours per the Arrhenius acceleration model, making it viable for outdoor telecom and industrial motor-drive environments.
The 125°C rating covers the high end of AEC-Q200 Grade 0, though this part carries no explicit automotive qualification — verify if the application requires AEC-Q200 or a specific PPAP level.
No factory-direct stock-holding is claimed.
