2917 (7343 Metric) case, size D per manufacturer code, measuring 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm with a seated height of 3.10 mm. The ESR is 1.2 Ω at 100 kHz — this is the ripple-current ceiling for the bulk decoupling role; a higher-ESR part dissipates more heat internally, so the ripple current must be budgeted against the 2000-hour life at temperature.
